-Divide hair at the temples and secure the top half out of the way.
-Take a one- to two-inch section of hair and clamp the iron at the tips, then roll the iron upward toward the roots, wrapping hair evenly around the barrel.
-Hold the iron until heat has fully penetrated the section of hair, then release the clamp.
-For looser curls, tug slightly on the section before allowing it to cool.
