I use the big side to apply halo glow, and the small side for cream blush! I have gotten lots of use out of this brush, i would recommend! ...I like the small sided brush more, the big one is not dense enough but does the job.

hourglass brush...soft brush but not worth the money, sephora brush #55 works the same way at less the cost. sephora brushes work very well- easy to maintain- once a week or every other week clean with mild face soap or small drop of mild dish soap- swirl in palm of hand and swirl with water in palm of hand squeeze out excess water and dry on paper towel tilted downward....Perhaps Hourglass would win out in longevity but I won't be keeping them to find out. #1 isn't as large as I expected. #2 isn't as dense as I expected. #7 is in between the two but I didn't want a multi-tasking brush and prefer the long handles. I do use the small eye brushes and love them.
