I use this with an intense hydrating conditioner and some argan oil and my hair is great. I don't have as much damage as last year but just a little (but that's also because I haven't had a haircut in 8 months so I'm due for one). ...It does take out all the residue on your hair. Not for dry and/or damaged curly hair...I wouldn’t say it is hydrating but it does leave your hair feeling cleaning. If you have dry and/or damaged hair, I would say avoid this shampoo....After using the shampoo and conditioner a few times, I noticed that when I blow dried my hair, I didnt have as much tiny frizz hairs poking up!
