These Terms of Participation apply to your participation in any Beauty Insider Challenge (together and separately, “Challenge” or “Challenges”) offered by Sephora USA, Inc. (“Sephora”). Each Challenge will be announced by Sephora and will have its own page on sephora.com, which will include how to opt in, dates of participation (each, a “Participation Period”), and the tasks required to earn points (each, a “Challenge Page”). All information included as part of a Challenge Page is incorporated herein by reference.
Eligibility Must be a Beauty Insider member to participate. By participating, participants agree to (i) these Terms of Participation, the Beauty Insider Program Terms, and Sephora’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (all incorporated herein by reference) and (ii) the decisions of Sephora, which are final and binding in all respects.
How to Enroll If you are not already a Beauty Insider member, you must enroll in the Beauty Insider Program to be eligible. Enrolling in the Beauty Insider Program is free, and all Beauty Insider Program Terms apply. Limit one (1) account per person. Multiple accounts for any person and accounts generated by script, macro, or other automated means will be void.
Opt in to a Challenge For any Challenge, you must opt in by following the directions on that Challenge Page.
How to Earn Points in a Challenge During a Challenge’s Participation Period, points can be earned by completing the stated tasks for that Challenge (“Eligible Tasks”) outlined on the Challenge Page. All material terms associated with completing any Eligible Task will be set forth as part of the Challenge Page (or a pop-up window on the Challenge Page for the applicable Eligible Task).
If any Eligible Task requires making a purchase, such purchase must be made at sephora.com, sephora.ca, or in a US or Canada retail store. If purchasing methods are excluded, those details will be specified in each task modal description.
Be sure you are logged in to your account and/or provide your Beauty Insider account details to the in-store associate to ensure you receive credit for completing an Eligible Task.
Complete all four (4) Eligible Tasks for a Challenge during the Participation Period to earn an additional 100 points, for a maximum total of 500 points for a single Challenge. For the avoidance of doubt, if you complete two (2) eligible Tasks from two (2) separate Challenges, you will not earn an additional 100 points. All Eligible Tasks completed must be for the same Challenge to be eligible for the additional 100 points.
Points will be deposited to participant’s Sephora account within the time period stated for that Challenge. Participant’s point deposit and new balance will be accessible via participant’s Sephora account.
Points Conditions Redemption/use of points is subject to the Beauty Insider Program Terms.
Please note that products may appear on multiple category pages on sephora.com but only qualify under one category for purposes of Task completion. If you are unsure of whether a particular product falls under a certain category of Task completion purposes, please reach out to Customer Service with your question and they can confirm under which category that product falls for transactional purposes. Sephora has the right to categorize product as it sees fit.
If a purchase is required to complete an Eligible Task and you make that purchase online and then cancel it within the online cancellation window, the Eligible Task associated with that purchase will not be marked as completed and no points will be provided. If, for whatever reason, Sephora cancels an online purchase that is connected to an Eligible Task within 24 hours of the order being submitted, the Eligible Task associated with that purchase will not be marked as completed and no points will be provided.
If any Eligible Task included as part of a Challenge requires a minimum purchase, previous purchases cannot be applied to such minimum purchase amount. Minimum purchase amount shall be determined after all discounts have been taken and before gift wrapping, packaging, taxes, or shipping & handling charges have been applied (as applicable).
General Conditions By participating in a Challenge, you agree (i) to release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Sephora, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any liability or damages which may arise out of participation in a Challenge, including any travel or activity related thereto. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Released Parties are not responsible for printing, typographical, technical, computer, network. human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of a Challenge, the tracking of Eligible Tasks, or in any Challenge-related materials. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of any Challenge, who are acting in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner, or who are otherwise not in compliance with these terms, as solely determined by Sephora, will be disqualified and all points will be void. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in a Challenge or downloading materials from or use of any website or app.
Sephora reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel a Challenge at any time. Any changes Sephora makes will be effective immediately on notice, which it may give either by posting the new terms on the site or via e-mail. Your participation in a Challenge after such notice will be deemed acceptance of such changes. You should review these Terms of Participation periodically to ensure familiarity with the most current version. You will always be able to tell when the version was last updated by checking the "Last Revised" date at the top of these Terms of Participation. All questions or disputes regarding a Challenge, including, without limitation, those involving eligibility, participation, fraud, and abuse, will be resolved by Sephora.
Your participation in a Challenge constitutes permission for Sephora and its designees to use your name, biographical information, image, likeness, and/or statements about that Challenge for advertising, trade, promotional, and other purposes in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification, or permission, unless prohibited by law.
Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Terms of Participation, or the rights and obligations of the participant and Sephora in connection with a Challenge, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.
Personal Information Your personal information collected in connection with this Challenge will be used in accordance with Sephora’s Privacy Policy.
