Diversity, Equity
& Inclusion
We champion all beauty fearlessly and build inclusive environments for employees, consumers, and communities.

DIVERSE TEAMS & INCLUSIVE WORKPLACES

At Sephora, we use inclusive hiring practices and advancement programs to ensure we have diverse teams and a leadership mix representative of the diverse demographics of our consumers. Our employee resource groups and allyship trainings help us cultivate inclusive workplaces where everyone belongs.

WELCOMING SHOPPING EXPERIENCES

We strive to create a culture of inclusion and belonging where all consumers feel welcomed and treated with respect. Inspired by findings in our Racial Bias in Retail Study, we — and a growing community of like-minded retailers —are taking concrete steps to tackle unfair treatment of BIPOC shoppers through the Mitigate Racial Bias in Retail Charter, which we co-initiated with Open to All.

PARTNERS WITH SHARED VALUES

We know we can’t drive change alone. To continually challenge ourselves, we are proud to partner with leading organizations, diversity experts, and advocates who advise on how we can create more-equitable systems—and move our industry forward. Our equity partners include the National CARES Mentoring Movement, the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and more.
We also support the future of BIPOC-led beauty brands through Accelerate, our incubator program.

BLACK OWNED BRANDS

As the first major retailer to commit to dedicating at least 15% of our shelf space to Black-owned brands through the 15 Percent Pledge, we’re proud to feature an assortment that represents the best Black-owned beauty out there.

ALL ABILITIES HIRING

Sephora has five distribution centers located across four states—totaling more than 2,500 employees moving products throughout the country to our stores and consumers’ doorsteps.

In our continued commitment to create an inclusive space for our employees, Sephora’s distribution centers are leading the way by creating accessible environments that welcome talent with disabilities. A structured nine-week training program, a commitment to equal pay for equal work, and equitable performance standards are some of the ways we respect and value our employees with disabilities.
Our employees can expect state-of-the-art facilities that help simplify and streamline our processes to expand employment opportunities for our diverse workforce.
